Edificio del "Enginy"

This building was part of the complex where the sugar production process was carried out in the 16th century.

The machinery used was called ‘Enginy’ (sugar mill) because its method of milling sugar cane was innovative for the time.

It used the water retained in the existing pond in the square with the same name ‘plaça la Bassa’.
